Pon and Zi 'Bleach'

This is a Pon & Zi Fan Art, from Jeff Thomas' brilliant series, that I created from an old experience I had with a woman. This was my forth attempt.

We had been talking for several weeks and the level of our relationship was progressing too fast for my tastes at the time. I told her that I did not want what she wanted (a stamp of exclusivity) and that maybe we should take a break from each other. Essentially, I was dumping her.

She broke down and cried and told me that if I broke up with her, she would swallow bleach and kill herself. I cared for her a lot and let the relationship perpetuate for another nine months until she dumped me. If I was presented in the situation again, I do not know if I would have made a different decision. What would you have done?
